I just upgraded to a faster PC but was getting high load% and drops, which I was not getting before on the older, slower PC. After spending last several days troubleshooting this, I was able to narrow down to the root cause. The Memory Allocated to Delay Buffers was set too high. (The new PC has more RAM so I thought it wouldn't hurt to allocate more memory for the buffers. But I guess the high allocation caused more overhead, resulting in high load and drops. As soon as I lowered the buffers to just enough to cover the 3 seconds delay I needed, I was no longer getting high loads and drops. I'm using 0.9.5 with 2 instances of Kinovea capturing golf swing videos and 1 replay instance. I'm capturing at 150fps and 350MB/s throughput. For the 3s delay, I lowered the buffer size to 1.2G. When I set the buffer size to 4G or higher, I was getting high load and drops.
Thought I would leave this here in case someone else is having high load and drops.
