When playing a .MOD file with Deinterlace option on, Kinovea.exe keeps taking memory and never releasing it.
I track down this issue to the PlayerServer library, but I couldn't fix it.
Thank you,
Andy

Hi,
Thanks for the report.
Are you using the 0.7.10 version or one of the more recent experimental 0.8.x ?
Also, I think it might be related to a specific kind of .MOD files. Can you provide some more details about the origin of the files ?
(created m147 to track this)
Thanks
Hi Joan,
I tried with both 0.7.1 and 0.8.1. The file is taken from a JVC Everio Camcorder. I upload a .MOD test file if you like to try it out. The thing is that this is a short file and Kinovea caches the frames ("Importing frames" window) and the memory is consume once. But if it's a large video that kinovea keeps reading the frames as it need them the memory goes as high as it can.
Thank you,
Andy

Ok, thanks.
I could find the issue and it should be fixed in next version.
The buffer holding the deinterlaced picture was never released
However I discovered an new problem with some very specific videos and the new force aspect ratio function.
I'll try to re-air a version next week or so if I can fix this too.
Thank to you Joan.
I'm glad it could be fixed quickly.
