It would be very useful to have a "default" filename and default file location set when recording images/videos. Currently, the filename is reset to "YYYY-MM-DD - 1" every time the video capture window is closed.

Consecutive naming of file need to be restored even after the program has closed.

Hi,
I'll add the following line to the suggestion list :
- More control over naming convention for captured files.

More specifically, I think it would be nice to have a preference page where we can have full control over the naming convention, with a description string using format characters.
I recently came across an open source screenshot utility called ZScreen that has this kind of configuration page. (See screenshot).

Yes, that configuration will naming files much easier. Even if file names could include specific time it would prevent overwriting previous videos after the program is reopened.
