My video analysis requires that I produce comments and drawings.

I then need to produce a DVD reflecting all such comments and drawings.

Is it at all possible that you could produce a version?whereby all the comments could be embedded in the video so that one could save a file with drawings and comments"

This would be good for me also to have a "subtitle" type arrangement "subtitles" would be compatible with DVD-V spec, Writing text onto the video file is OK but if your looking at full screen action it can be an issue so a separate area for comments would be good as would comments being available for a period of time or number of frames

Oh, hadn't thought about subtitles comments. Interesting idea.
Currently there is the label tool and the comment box, but as you noted these are attached to a single frame, and more for interactive review.
I have used one or two subtitle authoring software in the past and there are some design challenges to address. Providing a way to synchronize the text with the video complexifies the interface a lot.
Please discuss what you think would be the best approach to this smile

Hi Joan, for my use filming at 120fps but for short periods (1-4 sec) I found that even with the automatic pause of 2 seconds it was hard to read the labels (and i wrote them) the 2 things i was thinking were:
1: is it possible to have the video Auto pause on a comment/label requiring a keypress to continue (Powerpoint style)
2: the subtitle to run under the video for a set number of frames or for the duration of the working area should be simpler to implement than sync'd subtitles

This could be the same feature as the suggested "Drawing stays on screen until next drawing in sequence appears" basically, all the drawings on the current key image would stay 100% opaque until the next key image.
This would correspond to attaching the drawings to the "section" between two key images instead of just the first image.

That would work!

Is there the ability to draw a line based on a moving object? i.e. track an item through a series of frames? Automatically rather than editing the line in each frame?
