Forgive me for my lack of knowledge regarding Kinovea.
Is it possible to have a USB or DVD given to myself to download in my computer and to use the Kinovea software to analysis the sporting performance or does the video camera need to be used?
Any info would be great.
Hey Dave. Use any media you want with the supported file formats. Kinovea opens most of them really well.

For a complete novice like myself is the Kinovea system difficult to learn?
I am a professional soccer goalkeeping coach and it looks like a great tool to use to analysis my players.
I am an athletics coach in technical events and have had great help from Kinovea. I would say it´s one of the easiest and most intuitive analysis programs I´ve used. Dabbling around for a day or two - and you can fly 
!
A good thing to learn in advance/along with the program is some basics on filming footage for analysis. That makes it easier to apply the features provided.
