It looks like support for Windows 7 is in the experimental 0.8.[3,4] series. Can one assume that this will be part of the next stable release?

No, no problem but I was in the process of ordering a new laptop and my choices for OS were Vista and Windows 7. One of the primary purposes of the laptop will be as a portable video analysis platform, using Kinovea, for running form analysis. I gambled that Win7 would be fine so that's what the laptop is shipping with. I suppose I should have also checked the video camera I purchased, but I guess I'm too late on that one! 
Hopefully I'll be able to use the video from it, otherwise I'll have a lot of technical 'toys' and nothing to do with them!
