Hey there, we're a small dojo who uses the Kinovea software during judo tournaments to capture the action from opposite corners of the mats. One USB cable can be relative short but the other typically ends up being very long, gets squished between or under heavy mats and the signal drops, etc.

We're trying to figure out if there are any wireless cameras or IP cameras we can run from a mobile device. We're MEDIUM tech savvy and I've read the help documents but if someone has a camera or app they know to work, it would be a great help. We have a modest budget but could spend a few hundred for several cameras.

Thanks!!

Do you need high FPS?
If you can manage with something around 20fps, you could use IRIUN and smartphones for wireless transmission....

I’ve used Wyze Cam v3 and Reolink cameras for similar setups, and they work pretty well for streaming. They support RTSP, which is great for connecting to Kinovea, and the Wyze Cam has a solid app that makes setup easy. The Reolink cameras are also nice, with good quality and decent range. If you’re on a tight budget, you could also try using an old smartphone as a wireless camera with the IP Webcam app—it’s a good low-cost option. Just make sure your Wi-Fi is up to the task if you’re running a few cameras at once, especially in a busy space like a dojo.

I’ve used Wyze Cam v3 for a similar setup, and it’s been a decent budget option for wireless streaming. It works with the Wyze app, so you can view and control multiple cameras from your phone. If you’re looking for something with more stability for streaming, Reolink cameras might be worth the extra investment, especially with RTSP support. I’d recommend checking the Wi-Fi strength too—I've had issues with signal drop when it’s weak, especially with multiple cameras running at once. It should fit into a modest budget, and you can set them up pretty easily.
